Default 240 inside -- Who likes seeing JDM parts being abused? My SR-S14 in action at some HPDE days!!

Here are some new pics of my car. Being that I was driving (or at least letting my friends beat the hell out of my car), i'm not the photographer...however I don't think that much matters All racing was with the Performance Drivers Association (Northeast Division of NASA) PDA - Performance Drivers Association

The first few pictures are from Watkins Glen Sep 18. I had a blast up there, as it's a huge track for high HP cars. The 2nd batch of pics is from Last weekend at Pocono Raceway's North course. I know they're not the typical photoshoot type shots, but I figure I'd change it up a little and perhaps convince some to try it out I love JDM inspired cars, but hate seeing them act as show queens and parking garage ******. I like to think of my car as a fine example of quality parts being used how they were intended.

Full Gallery for the pics: http://www.e-rak.com/cody/albums/album266

Watkins Glen: (All were pretty much either in traffic, or coming onto traffic...so nothing to exciting...you can see the difference in line depending on where I am setting up the pass ahead...)

And now for pocono north course. I'm not driving in all of them, but I should be at least in the car. My one friend has a Turbo Sentra with similar power, and the other guy is Joe Dimino, 2006 SCCA SE-R cup national champion. Got 2 dry sessions in, and 3 wet....racing in the rain is not only a ball check, but a complete blast.

240 handle like **** from factory. Are you running a good road racing setup? How did your car fair against the others?

I'm actually not the photographer. A camera man from PDA takes them, and he sells them on the side. Unfortunatly he puts a watermark on them to protecthis work, to disable us from printing them on our own.

Handle like ****? I'll hafta disagree somewhat. Even with just a VLSD, they are a decent car...their biggest problem is anemic power.

My car as far as suspension mods includes:

MR Coilovers, Whiteline front and rear sway bars (front hard, rear soft), Nismo Power brace (sort of like a LCAB), a KAAZ 1.5 way diff, Dupree subframe spacers, and the Z wheels with Potenzas. For whats it's worth, when Joe drove my car (again a professional driver) it was able to hang with and be faster than most cars in the black/instructor group...and most of them run on race tires. Only the race prepped STI's and EVO's were giving us a decent run. Small turbo, with the right mods = a blast on the track.

Don't forget I also have the 300zx 30mm 4 pot calipers up front, and the factory SE in the rear...all 4 corners have steel lines and Carbotech Panther + pads. I have no fade or any probelm going 120 to 60 and making a 90 degree right all in a split second.

Yep they are my track wheels. Can't beat 400 shipped for 17x8's with new Potenza's

Eyh, drifting is overrated IMO. Don't get me wrong, it certainly takes alot of skill to do what those drifters do, but to me Slideways = slow on a real track. However I will admit, I'm an avid fan of doing doughnuts in open lots late at night....smokey posi burnouts rule.

I have seen one. Driven about 4 stock. Seen Videos on one. Videos say they arent the best for handling purposes. Most owners say the same. They handle like **** ok maybe "****" is too harsh...they handle like it wasnt meant to handle fantastic. Is it a great handling car, no. Is it a good handling car, yes. If you think a 240 handles great from the factory then your previous car must have been a base model mustang or something heavy along those lines. One of the main reasons why its a great drifting car.

Truth. Take into account where cars were in the day these were designed, and they are great compared to what was out there. I still think a 240 stock will out perform a good deal of mildly suspension modded cars. Again, everyone's few of handling is very different. Without tracking a car, it's hard to compare, because being that most FWD cars are designed to understeer, it gives teh false impression of a 'better handling' car on the street.

And I don't really believe that it's mediocre stock suspension makes it a good drifter by design...I mean technically any RWD car with a diff can 'drift/powerslide' but the good ones have suspensions tuned as finely as grip/roadcourse drivers do....i mean you've got guys toeing out their rear tires to induce more easily attined oversteer...simply sick stuff!

true true . Trust me im not knocking the car in anyway, i was gonna buy one awhile back. You right for back in the day it was a great handling car. With the newer knowledge and technology of todays cars it would be selling the car short to say it handles like crap
