I'm looking at getting some tires this size, with a new set of wheels. Anyone running tires this big? I got 215/40/17 and would like to go a bit beefier.

 

whats so big about that?

there are guys with 225/50/r15's on stock 15x6.5's

 

my sister runs her bb1 on 215/45/17's with less than a finger-gap drop...no rubbing; smooth ride.

the jun prelude run 225 or 235 45/17's...

 

yup 215/45/17 bfg geforce sports im dropped on neuspeed sports with kyb agxs and everything fits fine. finger and a half gap in the front and 2 in the back. you should be fine.

those tires are too large and will change your drive ratio... it might be good in some cases, but for many people its bad

yeah your right why you think i switched to my SE rims and 205-50-15s

 

im running that tire size, just get some bfg g-forces. cheap/nice

i hated my time on 215/45/17's. fucked with gearing/accel in a noticeable way.

if you're going big, you might as well go wider, like 235/40/17
