Default 5th gear shaking

Ride: 91 Integra Ls - Daily driven.

Problem:
The engine ran strong any other days but for some reason I took it out to get lunch at work and I'm getting alot of shaking under the hood at about 55-65mph on 5th gear...

If I try to push on the gas to accelerate, it shakes more.. but when I let go of the gas pedal and press on it again it goes away.. it' random.. I feel alot of bumpiness on the tires also..

Cause?

Information would be great. For now it's sitting in the garage ... Starts up fine but I don't want to push it further knowing it's too shakey.

I filled it up with a "91" gas at Shells... that might be the cause of the problem.. let me know!

Does it only do it at that speed? Only in 5th? I don't think the 91 octane would have anything to do with it. Check ur suspension, make sure ur axles are good and tight, and also check ur wheel bearings are nice and tight. Does it shake when u're off the gas and just cruising at 60 mph? I had one of my tires startin to seperate and had a similar experience.

To my knowledge, when I accelerate over 50-60mph the engine starts to shake and it can be felt through the wheels. I'll check what you listed for me to check and find a answer to this. Just haven't got time to do it yet. Anything else to check/look for other than what's mentioned?

I checked the motor mounts, and the suspensions all 4. Also checked all lug nut to make sure they're tight.

I could not located the wheel bearing.. but I did notice rip on the boot on one of the rod parallel to the axle, but this couldn't possibly shake the whole car at high speed could it? Because the balljoint nuts and every other nut are tight.

can someone show the location of a wheel bearing on a DB2.
I know what it looks like, but can't located it.

I found out the exact problem that cause the engine to shake and can be felt on the steering wheel and wheels now.

On my passenger side axle, within the tranny is the axle boot and it's loose or damage which cause the passenger side axle to wiggle a little.

So in conclusion, the tranny needs to be taken out, have the axle boot where the axle spline grabs to replaced. Alot of **** to do. Hope that help some people out there if it ever happends to you. Cause it didn't seem like I got much help..

i had shakes in my car at higher speeds too around 70-80, but it was caused from a bulge in my rear tire, luckily it was something minor, but either way goodluck with the repair
