03 GSXR price check?
Hey guys, I am thinking of purchasing this '03 GSXR, it has less than 300 miles on it and hardly ever ridden. The previous owner rode it a couple times and pretty much kept it in the garage ever since. The reason it is lowered is the owner is pretty short and had it lowered with a dog bone. What do you think is a good asking price?

Did he put fuel stabilizer in it before he gave up on it? Has the oil ever been changed since then? Did he buy it in 03? When did he buy it? How long has it been sitting?
You've heard of Nada and kelly blue book right?
Well, here's what Nada has to say about that bike

I'd offer him 3500 and tell him that you're worried about the motor since it was never properly broken in and has just been sitting. Someone chime in and prove me wrong.

Haha, 3500?
I understand your point about the bike sitting for so long, but if it is in good running condition I couldn't see the seller taking anything less than 5k. Those Nada and Kelly prices are based on "average mileage" which on that bike should be around 10,000. Considering it has WAY below average mileage- you can expect the price to be over the average selling point of 5200.

Yeah, its my roomate's sister bike, she bought the GSXR to ride with her husband but they never really got around to it as you can see with the miles. I believe it is in good running condition, nothing is wrong with it. Like I said, the only modifications done to it is it is lowered and has a tbone on it to make it more lowered since she is short. Which kind of works out for me because I am not the tallest either. 4500 is a decent price but I would swoop it up instantly for 3500. I don't want to low ball them tho, they are very good friends. Thanks for all the inputs guys, I'll let you know how it turns out.
Nothing really. I'd be more worried about rust in the tank.
OP - I'm not a fan of lowered bikes, but if you cannot manage the one-cheek-sneak, then keep the dogbone. As for the price you offer, ask them what would be fair for them. Nothing like a bad transaction between two parties to make their relationship sour, but if you are good friends, then it should be all good.
