fit and motor strenght
Built and owned a few 400+WHP bseries hatches.. havent built anything in the last 3 yrs, I was wondering if anyone has turboed the fit stock or built... how does the block hold up and what engine managment.. did a few google searches and found nothing.. this would be daily driven 60-70 miles daily not looking for to much power between 200-300 will block and valve train hold up. want it to be simple not much suspension workand rollen on stock wheels. right now I have a fd 597Whp and looking at the fit for everyday.
thanks

skunk2 has already turboed one and made good power and we already sleeve them here is the link for the skiunk 2 one and if you have any questions on the sleeving let me know https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/1739568

what kind of power can be made on the stock rods piston sleeves .. what is the weak link..
thanks
dont plan on beating on it to often just need a little more power for passing

You don't often hear about stock Honda pistons failing, but you do hear about rods or rod bearings failing. I'd guess they are the "weak link".
You want to make 200 to 300 horsepower on stock internals? Even if the L15 has a 100% safety factor, anything over 218 hp would exceed that... and the safety factor may not be nearly that high. You'd need to be really confident in your tune. Detonation is really bad in forced induction engines... especially in something like the L15 that has relatively high compression and isn't built for forced induction. The "prototype" Mugen supercharger bumps the L15 to around 140 hp. I'd consider that a safe limit for a stock L15.
You might consider something like a used WRX for nearly the same price as a Fit. It would make a much more reliable daily driver at those power levels.

i love hondas all my daily drivers are honda. two sitting in the drive way one a 91 with 190,000 miles and the other a 92 with306,000 both hatchs and run great the 91 is becomeing unsafe it is rotting pretty bad the 92 just burns a qt of oil every 1000 miles no big deal.. as for the tuning im not worried never blew one up do to tune and a buddys d16 is on 109,000 miles on one build.making over 300whp tune is good.95 pilot is the wifes daily driver. so I want to try the little motor that could it cannt handle it ill sleeve it and built it but Id like to hope someone knows alittle aabout the motor in its stock form
well i know the one skunk2 did was a stock block i think even stock rods but don't know what pistons they used but they now have a sleeved block and should be putting aftermarket rods and pistons in it next and we will be taking the motor out of ours soon and i will be posting progress's as we go with lots of pics
