Default HELP!! I installed the p13 now problems

ok heres the deal...
I got another 4th gen. A 94 Si 5spd (h23a1) i put my h22 in it from my obd II 96 lude. well. i ran on thr p14 ecu for a while then i bought a p13 and i put it in today...

Now this is what it does. It drives PERFECT in low cams....you drive normal it runs great. You hit vtec and whenever you are done vtec'ing....it does this Runs for like 2 secs, then cuts for 2 secs, and it keeps doing that and you cannot drive in traffic like this. So if you turn the lude off and start it again it drives in low cams great but its whenever you stop vtec'ing and start driving easy again it just starts cutting on and off on and off on and off...and its really bothering me...can someone please help!!!!

Wow this sounds interesting. So are u saying whenever u engage vtec the engine shuts off every 2 seconds? That sounds really weird. Are u gettin any cels? Is it only when u use the p13? Does the engine surge or complelty turn off?

I thought you couldn't run a OBDII in a OBDI car especially with a P13? I thoght you had to change over harned parts to put a II motor in a I car... or is that only if you wish to maintain smog?

Virgin ECU or chipped?

Kinda sounds like that ECU is not dissengageing(spelling) from vtec, so mechanicly it's running low cam but the ecu still thinks it's in vtec, which might just explain why it's runs like shyte.

ok...
it drives PERFECT in low cams.....always will until you hit vtec....it vtec's PERFECT (engagment/disengagement).... so there is no prob with vtec.

I am obd I now using a STOCK p13 obd I ecu.... like i said....AFTER you are DONE vtec'ing and chill out...you will be in non vtec range and it will run and dies every 2 secs. this is as good as i can explain it lol....thats what it does

DOES ANYONE know a link to something about what u do when u put a obd II engine in a obd I car...i may need to change some sensors but im not sure...they all plugged in fine but they still may need changin...let me know Please

bump....

i hooked it up to the snap on scanner at our shop and from what i see the ecu is shutting the injectors off periodically. like i said vtec is great but its like u can only drive it with 1/2 throttle or more at all times or it will bog and you Cannot move and it holds traffic up and creates more probs....this really sucks....please somebody does anyone have a link to shomething similar to this? i searched alot and didnt find anything

Did you use an OBD1 dstributor, injectors, and engine harness? Without those I am pretty sure your car won't run correctly.

if the 290s are also being used with the obd2 fuel pressure regulator you are getting enough fuel flow.

How does having the egr hose unplugged turn ur car off? That must be one big ***** freaking hose leak.
