Default '97 SH Check Engine and ATTS

Hi -

I have a 1997 Prelude SH, recently purchased as a DD, which has been running well with 213K miles - but today the check engine light came on with the ATTS light.

So the question is- when the engine throws a CEL does it automatically disable the ATTS and cause the light to illuminate?

Hoping I have 1 issue, and not 2...

Also - I checked my oil last week, and found it almost 2 quarts low. Does the H22 normally eat this much oil? I'm runnign 5w-30 synthetic.

TIA

The ATTS light will come on along with the Engine light if it goes on. Did you check to see what codes you threw? If you were running on 2 quarts of oil it might be that. H22s are known to burn oil, some more than others. But if you say you have 213k miles on yours, then you problably have worn rings or valve seals.

Thanks! I hate OBD-II cars

I'll check the code and clear up the issue...
