00 Itr about to be re-tuned, questions before the dyno....
ive got some questions concerning preperations and so fourth before my next dyno tune'
to make a long story short i had a local shop tune my car and shortly afterwards it cant hold an idle after a few minutes of driving and didnt make near the power it should have, tuner blamed it on lack of fuel and siezed distributer, well i got home and pulled the dizz off in about 12 seconds and everyhting was fine...so cam gear adjustments were not made i guess he thought the dizzy was sized or didnt wanna make them'
its an 00 itr motor so i believe the injector size should be 310cc's or 290's, he said and showed me the graphs of it running lean past 8k'.....
so now im getting re-tuned by a very well known and good tuner in the mid-west, ive bought some 450cc injectors but from what ive read/been told they are too big and the stock injectors should be fine for my set-up'.....
my set-up is'
2000 JDM Integra Type R motor
Skunk 2 Stage 1 Cam-Shaft’s
Skunk 2 6 Bolt Cam Gear’s
J’s Racing Carbon Fiber Intake
JDM 4-1 header / wrapped
Greddy Sp Catback Exhaust “Changed muffler to Tanabe Medallion w/ 14” Kteller Resonator w/greddy piping piping”
Carsound High Flow Cat
Electronic exhaust Cut out w/ Y Pipe after the header
Hondata For Fuel Management "last tune was on a first model s200..old chip version...ive got a fresh s200 from hondata that will be replacing the old version for the new tune'
Chipped P28 Ecu for hondata
450cc injectors "not installed yet"
AEM Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator "was installed but removed because shop said it was making it run even more lean...unit is brand new from aem..going to re-install and see what the next tuner comes up with"
holley 255 Fuel Pump
msd 6 BTM
msd blaster SS coil
msd cap
msd rotor
msd spark plug wires w/ngk plug
now i dont want this **** to get off topic and start ranting on camshafts or msd blah blah blah'
im looking to see what the rating of the stock jdm itr injectors are and so fourth, the guy who tuned it last said ill need bigger injectors to keep from going lean, the guy whos going to be tuning it shortly says the stock injectors are good for more then my motor will push', i guess either way the 450cc's wont "hurt" anything, its getting a fresh tune anyways'
first tune 1 year ago minus everything above besides and intake and exhaust and hondata made 174/134, last tune with everything above 176/128 and runs shitty after it was tuned'
new tune....tuner wants/hopes to sqeeze 185+ out of it'
also is there anything else i should add/do before this next tune? im hoping it good tuned well so i can finally enjoy driving the car....if your wondering why ive got all these high flow-fuel additions like fuel pump etc its because im building the platform for the future...winter project will be boost/built
so dont rag on off topic

Why not go back to the first one then?

Also, I do think 450's are way to much. I have stock USDM ITR injectors in mine and I made 192 WHP on a Dynojet. Never got em up to full duty either. I would certainly not go back to Mr. #2. He sounds like he's full of ****. Besides, you can add or take away fuel all over the band with Hondata.
first 1 moved to a different state...then i got stuck with number 2 as my only option...now option 3 is coming in from chicago to tune a few cars here usuing #2's dyno
lol'
quite confusing eh?

LOL. Yeah!!!
Another suggestion is clean the filter for the intake, put in new plugs and any other maintenance items.
