Using the oven method, EASY!!!! I just sat them in for like 7 minutes then took them out and pulled apart. The hardest thing is they are HOT and **** it burns your hands, but you gotta do it to get them apart. 100X better than the hair dryer trick. I've done that twice and this is the first time with the oven. I highly recommend the oven!!

Yah, howcome in the first pic (with the painted housings on the car), it looks like the reflective coating isn't painted at all. But in the last pic they're fully painted black or whatever color you used?
isnt light output gonna be crap with no reflective stuff?

that is the sweetest idea EVER! but how'd you reseal it? and also dont u need high temp paint? Nice JOb!

As far as the paint, you don't need high temp since the parking lights do not get as hot as the head lights
Bake cookies the next time you do that---- (EXCELLENT JOB!)
--- My real job, other than pissing away my money on my Honda is as an assistant Chef . . . (sigh) the ovens will see another day. . . But I wanted to warn you, the result of baking the plastic in the home oven could potentially be hazardous! Just wanted to pass it on... My suggestion to you man is to put it on clean mode, or leave it on 500 degrees for 20-30 mins just for your food and safety!
Kudos on your lights! Car is clean too!

I'd like to see someone try and "tint" the housing instead of actually paint it. I think that would better mimic the look you are going for. That tint spray for models would probably work great.
