Default GSR ECU For A H22A?

Gsr Ecu
I have a 96 prelude and its obd2. I was thinking about converting it to obd1 and use a gsr ecu.
Would a 96 and up gsr obd2 ecu work just as well as the obd1.

Also what kind of gains/loss in torque should i expect and would it help me at all in the 1/4 mile.

A GS-R ECU runs dangerously lean on an H22a. The a/f ratio that results is unsafe to run a motor on. You will need some additional way to tune the fuel delivery and dyno tuning time with a wide-band a/f meter if you want to use that ECU.

Also, I believe that the 96 Prelude model, although it was OBD2, still had the peak and hold injectors... You can tell by looking for the resistor pack on your injector harness. If it's present, you have peak and hold. If this is the case, this will also be a problem, as the GS-Rs all use saturated injectors.

remember the gsr ecu was meant for a 1.8 liter combustion chamber and as such, will only inject enough fuel for that size. that ecu with a 2.2 engine is not a good idea.
