Default What would you do? (Poll)

What would you do if you were in my situation? I have an EJ8 coupe, the light silver color (guess it's VSM?)...anyway, the hood has a nasty scratch on it, and would have to be repainted to look right again. The trunk also has a bad scratch, and looks like it is slightly bent on the right corner, making it push out a little more than it's supposed to. My options are having the trunk and hood repainted and fitted right or buying a carbon fiber trunk and hood. The plus of having the stock stuff fit and repainted is that it will still maintain a very stock look (obviously), and it might make resale of the car a little easier if the stock hood and trunk are in perfect condition compared to the condition they are in now (which isn't BAD, mind you...it's just very apparent that there is damage). The positive of having carbon fiber parts is that it's lighter, and has a nice "tuner" look...the black and silver theme would be carried out even more (car already has black wheels and mirrors). Please vote - I really am indecisive at this point. Let's assume that the painting is either the same price as or slightly less than getting the carbon fiber parts.

Your newly painted parts are going to stand out like a sore thumb on on that 6-10 year old EJ8. Have you tried 3m swirl+scrathc mark remover along with an orbital buffer? Go ask a bodyshop if you can get the scratches buffed out if this is over your head.

if you're thinking of reselling this car with carbon fiber and everything else stock. go with stock stuff, you'll have a better chance of selling 100% stock, then 99% stock w/stupid carbon fiber on it.

if your having an issue with the fitment with a CF hood and trunk...try buying quality originals and not some knock-off bullshit. Then, you wont have those issues that people have when they go extremely cheap and wonder "why the hell doesnt my **** fit right?"
