Default oil in 5th generation prelude what is the best

its a daily driver but want the best performance
no major mods
what the best brand to use and weight and what the best oil filter

Mobil 1 Synthetic 10w30 with OEM filter.

Mobil 1 5w-30 for me

I use a FRAM Toughgard filter, as long as the filter has an anti-drainback valve you'll be fine.

My Honda dealer reccomends and uses Mobil1. Synthetic would be worth while for those who are in VTEC more than once in a while, but if you change your oil every 3k miles, and dont hit VTEC very often, you are probably ok with the non-sythetic oil.
