thanks! in your experience is it worth the money? I am an avid ek lover and i have a b18c5 in mine but it wasnt worth the five grand after i was done. I had to fully build it to make it worth my time.

IMHO, I would not put a K series in my car, other than a true JDM DC5 ITR K20A, or a frankenstein K24/K20 with boost.

It'll be a good engine, for sure. Nothing but healthy amounts of Horsepower/Torque, with high potential of producing much more.

Best of luck.

IMO its not worth the 5000+ pricetag.

A k24a2 can be found for A LOT cheaper, and has GOBS more torque. and IMO would be a better daily drivable engine.

It all depends on the owner's ability to modify the engine. If you don't want to touch the internals, it's smarter to buy a K20A2 or K20A, but if you love to tinker, then a K24 is nice.

The VTC is still only set at 25degrees of movement, where as the K20A2 has 42 (I think), and the K20A has 50 (I know).

still. Maybe so, but its still a way toquier engine. I would think a k24a2 vs a k20a would be a damn close race... while a k20a2 wouldnt even come close to a k24a2

I agree with that, since it puts better power down (in it's stock form).

how are we figuring?? a k24a2 has just as much HP, and rules it on the trq. Both are 6 speed's... I dont think so.

I didn't think that the K24A2 came with a 6-speed, but if it does, then I retract my prior statement.

They sure did here in Canada. TSX came in either a 6 speed or tiptronic auto i believe.
