Cam gear slipped.... what now??
I got a h22a vtec w/ upgraded valves, retainters, and springs. well i had stage 2 cams on there. Apperently the exhaust cam gear was not tightened all the way so when I got on the throttle hard the cam gear slipped and messed with the timing. Is the head screwed?? or can some of my parts be reused. I'm lost someone please help me out??
yeah... i'm going to have a friend of mine that knows more than me help me out. I just wanted to know what to look for. what could have gotten damaged and how etc. etc.
P.s. thanks for the response

you MIGHT be ok...one tie mine slipped on the dyno while boosting. i set it back to normal and all was ok. just depends on your clearence... put it on 0 and do a compression check
that's what i'm hoping but i doubt it. we're going to take it apart when i buy it. I'm buying it from someone i know and he's got it apart right now so we will see i guess. i'm scared though
