I'm not too crazy about it, it puts the steering wheel pretty far out, and the release/lock mechanism is kind of akward to use.

I use the Mark Williams quick releases.

I agree with Tony1 - all of those style adaptors/quick releases sit very far out from the factory stop. The one we had on our EG would not center either - we swithed to the Strange style that has a weld on end as well as self centering for the same placement everytime...

i think the mark williams thing is a little more work than what i want.
ill get the nrg deal, tack weld the bolts so it will be welded in place & still be able to remove if needed to.

i like the old style NRG on my car. it was a little harder to detach it when it was brand new but once you use it a little more its easy. I dont think its a problem having it come closer to me, if anything i like it more. to NRG QR although i havnt tried the competetors. (i.e. Mark williams)

I don't know the rule but they definately checked my mark williams hub at englishtown for an sfi badge. If its not a splined unit I wouldn't get it.

because the spline section that they give you must be welded onto you existing steering column.

You have to build shims to adapt it to the oem steering shaft and then weld it on. Don't try it at home...
