So recently I have been getting a code 15, which is ignition input signal. I didnt think anything of it. Until today when my car broke down. All of the sudden I had no throttle response. Meaning I was litteraly flooring it and nothing happened. My rpms dropped to idle and I couldnt get them back up. I tried down shifting and everything but I had no response from the throttle. So I turned off my car to see if starting it again would work. But it wouldnt start. I kept cranking but it just wouldnt turn over. And when I had the key on the accesories position there was a strange buzzing sound. I got my car towed back to my house and I traced the buzzing to my main relay. I unpluged it and then pluged it back in to see if that worked. It didnt.
So I searched on here to see if anyone had the same problem. So far I got that you need to check the grounds and connection such as the t-stat ground and some other grounds in the dash. I looked at the t-stat ground wich looked like that was pretty much everyones problem, but of course its not that easy for me. The ground was solid. I looked at the resistor box and injectors and the connections seemed fine. Im not sure what grounds in the dash to check. I looked around and from what I saw it looked fine but im not an expert and there are hundreds of wires down there.
Could it be possible that the code 15 and the switch are related. Maybe my coil wasnt getting a good connection or something? I dont know exactly what goes through the main relay. But what did happen was I unplugged something that had about 4 wires and it plugged in next to the indash fuses and that turned off my dash lights. When I put my car in the position before turning the car on the buzzing wasnt there. I dont know if the buzzing is only there with the check engine light or what. But when I plugged that back in the buzzing was there again.
Anyone have any ideas?????
