Default Idle screw question.

I had a high idle problem after i did my mpfi swap, it ended up being the trottle cable way to tight. It didn`t seem that it was but anyways it was.

Now it idles to low at like 600rpm. I checked the idle screw and it was all the way in. I turned it back a few full turns and it brought the idle up but still not where i want it. So have far can i turn it without causing and other problems.

I have an old T/B and i removed the screw and its pretty long, so i figured i can go farther but wasen`t sure if it would mess anything up. Like too much air or something like that. Thanks.

Depending on what motor you have (by your SN I'm assuming it's a D16A6), your idle should be around 750 or so. Just take the screw out a little bit. But to truly dial in the correct idle, you should do a diagnosis using your EACV/IACV. Check your repair manual (assuming you have one ).
