question with brake light

Default question with brake light

ok my sister has a 94 lx sedan civic and she hits her brake light with keys out and car off and they turn on, is that normal. any help and info will be appreciated.

Perfectly normal, nothing to worry about. the power to the rear brake lights is constant. It does not depend on its supply only when the key is turned on, say like a radio would, or windshield wipers.
