I bought my crx about a week or two ago, it doesnt have a starter so i could only do the obvious things to it, clean the interor, change the oil, and the coolant, things like that. Then i discovered i could start the car by having someone push it then me let the clutch go really fast, it worked the first time after the car having sit for almost a year, i was surprised to say the least, but then i drove it for about a mile or so, just around my neighborhood, and it shut off, the first time it did that i thought it was my fault (because i had never driven a stick before), but it kept happening and i would try to start it up again, but i would have to wait until the car completely cooled down, and as soon as it heated up it would shut off, and all this time the temperature gauge on the dash wasnt registering any temp at all, it just stayed at the bottom, and the check engine light was always on, so i went online and looked up how to figure out what the check engine light was trying to tell me, so i found out something about an error code thing under the passangers side floor that would blink however many times, and this is what my said first when i turned the power on the car, it just blinks once, then 6 times pauses again then blinks 8 times, can anyone give me any help with this? thanks.
