WHAT IS THE STOCK EXHAUST'S BOLT TORQUE RATE?
anyone know? i just purchased the tanabe catbak for SI and wondering what torque rate i should apply to all 5 bolts...

25 lbf-ft on the three at the cat 16 lbf-ft on the spring bolts at the muffler but the tanabe dosent use spring bolts they supply you with different ones. Just make the two by the muffler tight but not superman tight with 3/8 drive and you should be ok

Just don't forget to put a little anti-seize compound on the bolt threads, kinda like you would with Loctite.
Makes the bolts a little easier to remove easier if you ever want to change exhausts down the road.
