It's my understanding (and that's very little, wait for somebody more seasoned to post an answer) that IHE mods don't add significant power, if any, to the engine itself. The idea is that the engine wastes less power sucking up air and blowing it out, and can more efficiently get flywheel hp to the wheels. IMO, he's bullshitting you. But like I said, I might be about to get flamed for saying this. I wouldn't mind being corrected.

Bottom line: doesn't sound feasible to a nub like me. Unless he has a swap .

Just like I told you in the 01-05 Civic forums, there's no way he hasn't seen any tuning time, with only I/H/E and bumping his FWP by 35.

Now MAYBE with IHE, cam gears, fuel system upgrades, a dyno-tuned K-Pro and possibly an ignition upgrade, may net him 35-50 hp.

Hes probably making about 160WHP now. Crank wise I cant remember the exact % to equate it, but hes probably in the range of 180-85 crank HP.

Race header-8whp-12-15 crank HP
Intake-3-5whp-8-10crank hp
Catback-5-8whp-8-12 crank HP

Those are all estimates

he is probable CLOSE to 190... as long as it is a race header and a CAI then he is most likely at 160whp wich is close to about 190 crank

Re-read my above post. He is close to what he is claiming.....because he is claiming CRANK HP. He is close to the 160whp mark, which is around the 180-185 CRANK HP. Hes not 195, but he is near it kinda.

He may feel as though that he's making that power but I seriously doubt it. With simple bolt ons to a K20A3 I/H/E (especially because it's just a DC), I'd seriously doubt he'd make that kind of power. That's 30hp off of bolt-ons....not likely with "average" parts

Surely you can believe 30 Crank HP or at least close to it. Thats very, VERY possible.

I think your thinking of the Jacksonracing race header. They claimed that kind of gain, but it was with a S/C, not N/A. Either way its crank power tha hes claiming not at the wheels, which i think everyone is forgetting
