What kind of headgaskets are you guys using.. I gotta get one .. just wondering what you guys are going with

OEM or Felpro Right here. Ive had 3 Cometics and all 3 of them were leaking

Were do people get 2ply and 1ply HG? Or do they just peel a layer off an OEM one? Not thread jacking just felt it would be relavent in the thread.

if you wanna run a 1 layer gasket then use the middle layer.

if u wanna run a 2 layer headgasket then remove the middle layer

OEM. the second person to post said he used felpro. of the bad things i have heard of cometic i have hear A LOT more good things about them so later on the road when i need a different sized HG i will probably go with a cometic.

i like the felpro. seems to be as good as qaulity as OEM headgaskets.

One thing i do is always wash down the gasket with soap and water and let it dry while im removing the head. to be sure everything is clean and that there arent any flaws in the gasket.

A head gasket is a head gasket. Get the one that puts you at the compression you want.

I use OEM for my 12:1 B18C1.

i am currently using the mugen 2ply HG on my built 12:5 cp gsr engine but motor not swapped in the car yet. anyone had problems using them before? or oil leaks on them before?

uhh im runnin one and no problems so far. 1,000 miles on the motor.

Shoulda went OEM tho...$140 for a 2 layer Mugen...I learned my lesson!
