Default is my exhaust to big?

i was thinking about getting a ES muff because i think my polished muffler gets too much attention. should i paint it flat black or should i change it for a ES oval?

TIA

BTW: sound isn't a problem. i am using a Trust piping and a MAGNAFLOW muffler. its just in my area, the cops are super a**holes.

Dude you want to get rid of that. I think it's sweet looking. It's real simple and clean looking. Don't get rid of it or paint it, leave it the way it is.

paint it... BBQ krinkle paint flat black- can be found at any local home improvement store, you will get alot less flak from the po po and ricers.

For some reason it sits kinda funny looking. Go for any oval style muffler.

I would go for the oval muffler. Is that a magnaflow muffler you have on now? Just get a magnaflow oval it will sound the same but wont stand out as much

Hey Blykins have you any problems with your worldsport. I have heard that it has a big resignator and that it scrapes on driveways and speedbumps

Only problem ive had is part of the piping rattles on one of the heatshields under the car, i bent the heat shield some but it still rattles, i might just take the heatshield completely off. All the piping is bigger than stock so theres always going to be the chance of stuff hitting the ground, especially if the car has been lowered.

funny looking? hehe i guess so. it definately looks different compared to the other mufflers on other 5th gens i have seen. the muffler place i take it to was surprised that i didn't want a 4" tip welded on to it. i guess only [censored] go there. i dunno i guess its a toss up. Palo Alto police pulled me over for it but i showed them the Greddy carb# sticker they let me go. i guess the big magnaflow on the side of the muffler wasn't obvious enough . If i get pulled over again, i guess i'll be like everyone else and get a ES oval.

WAFFLES:your just saying that cause you ended up keeping the MUGEN muffler

I think it looks good. Compared to most of the "big-***" cans/mufflers I see on the road, that looks clean. I also have a big fat can-APEXi N1. That's a Magnaflow muffler with GReddy piping? How does it sound. Nice hatch man..

How did you get trust piping? Was it stainless or powder coated.

My WS does the same thing. It rattled on the heatshield, so I took it off, now it's hitting on something else. Damn exhaust. I gotta get down there and find out what I can do about this.

00MRSi: it sounds just like a TRUST exhaust. i bought the complete exhaust system for $75.00 through a friend that imports JDM cars/parts here. it is off of an EG6. the muffler was all fucked up so i just used the piping and replcae the muffler.

its hard to explain... it is definately not polished. its like a coated mild steel of some sort. i resprayed it with 1000degree high heat paint before i got it put on just for extra protection.

keep it the way it is. you bought cause you wanted it. get rid of it only if you don't like it. it's your car, do what you want.

Sorry this is kinda off topic, but do all 5th gen civics with the Apexi WS rattle? I was looking into it, but if it does have that problem on all 5th gens...I couldn't handle that rattle. Also anyone have eg w/ b18c1 and WS? Does it rattle? Thanks

Yeah, thats what mine is, B18C1 and WS. It's rattling pretty bad right now. I'm going to get down there and look at it again tonight and tell you if I fix it.
