Default Car wont start and clutch wont disengage 91 civic wagon

ok this car is jsut falling apart on me left and right.

I was driving and I felt the slightest click in the clutch pedal. I was in neutral, engine on and I cannot shift into gear. it was like shifting into a wall.

I turned the car off and now I cant turn it back on. I think the clutch is not disengaging.

Some people said it could be . . .

1. throwout bearing
2. release fork
3. cable

I am new to working on trannies and clutches so please help me out and explain. thanks. I need this car to drive. everything is stock.

Its common for the cable to break more than likley thats what happened. It only take a few min to replace.

I will check the cable. is there somethign i should look for? I was thinking of having my girl get in and press the clutch pedal ip and down and while I check over by the tranny and the other end of the cable to see if it is moving.

I believe it may be the throw out bearing

Try adjusting the clutch cable its possible it may have streched and dosen't pull enough to dissengage the clutch...I'd say try swapping in a new cable just to see...its a lot easier than dropping the trans...also look under neith at the cluch peddal see if the bracket has cracked...after these checks you may want to drop the trans and take a look inside
