Default JDM **** Racing Header...is it any good???

I was just wondering if people on here have used this header. I was on JDM ****'s site and came across their B-Series 4-1 header. I wanted to know if it was worth getting considering the price its advertised for. Is the quality good?

Here's what is printed on their site:

*Exact replica to Mugen 4-1 header
*2.5 collector size (need 2.5 inch cat converter
*Polished stainless steel
*Thick flanges
*High quality welds

Here are pics of the header:

They are asking $230 shipped...Just wondering if the fitment quality, performance gain, and durability quality is good.

Thanx guys!

i would have to agree. i had one. the ground clearance was poor ( i dented it the first day and my front does not even sit that low.) it also cracked about three months later. even though i think jdmsh!t has good products this just isn't one of them.

i say go for it ive had a megan header (same thing) for 1.5 yrs now probly 25k miles on it and it has been great and im making good power too... 187whp/133wtq on my stock internal ITR with i/h/e/chip and vafc

sure a better header will make better power but with a mild setup i would rather save the extra $1k and save the 5whp

Spend a couple more bucks and get the collecter modded and its almost like gold!

Most of the time they do..I put "RS*R" made header on a friends integra today (Same exact header) and the fitment was pretty much ****! I had to trim the fan shroud cause it pushed up agianst it..Primaries didnt line up with the flange, the collecter is totally off and the welds inside look like shat. Even the O2 bung was fuc ked..i had to cut it out and reweld a better O2 bung..

I wont say their all the same (dont know if their all made by the same people) but they pretty much look like it..save up some more cash and get something a little better.

Go with a profab tri-y there like 450 shipped. Good power gains and they have some decent welds, if you look at this header and other high end headers there is really not too much of difference also the ground clearence is awesome sits level with your oil pan i dont think there is header that gives you as much as a bang for your buck as this one.

Test install on a 1992 GS-R with a stock B17a. This should show what the ground clearance is like. The front cross member had to be removed to install the header. The pictures were taken before it was reinstalled.

I don't have a picture of the tape across the opening of the Megan but it's not 2.5". It's 60mm. The 2" header is an older Comptech ITR model.

I had mine welded up on the inside and the flange port matched. I haven't installed it though since I've been looking high and low for a 60mm donut gasket.
