12k? what year is it from a dealership?
well idont know what you have now, but i have an ep3(same motor) and its nice its not the fastest but it works, it sounds great. i just have the usuall mods. intake and exhaust. Im not gonna race it, nor do i entend to. So if you want to race then hands down get the type s, if you just want to look cool, and sound good, then get the base.

type-s if your really into racing/taking it to the track. i have a base auto and its plently for daily driving and it looks great/gets great gas mileage. or you could swap a k20a into a base model and beat some unsuspecting type s'

I spent 3 months surfing the net for deals on Type-S's. 12,500 is a steal depending on the mileage (and yes I ran clean carfaxes on the ones going for 12,500). Keep a sharp eye out, and you'll end up not paying much more for the type s.
