and you'll realize he's right. Oh, there's like 12345678098765 LS/VTEC setups if you look for them.

It'll work, just make sure you have your ecu tuned, and your timing where it should. I am running and LS-VTEC setup with a Eagle stroker kit installed. That is a 81mm x 95mm with SRP 12.1 compression. It is my daily driver, I would just retard the timing for the time being, until you can get it properly tuned. I am running a stock fuel setup, with a p72. Gets great gas mileage and good driveability. Just make sure to get a Type R oil pump. that is the key.
Make sure you get it tuned. My car runs great, no detonation whatsoever.

oh yeah CTR pistons and a GSR head is a proven combo
for insanely high compression and detonation GL with that

in this day and age everyone should know by now. ls/vtec is not any less reliable then any other build, as long as the person who put it together knows what they're doing. Too many rookies get in over their head and put things together with out the proper knowledge or parts.

frank. i have told you a million times. lsvtec + ctr pistons + gsr head = ~13.5:1CR
why cant you understand that this simply is COUNTERPRODUCTIVE with 91 octane cali **** fuel?
at this point pal, do what ya want. run 14.2:1, slap it together and drive to whitfields to get it tuned. just dont call me when it comes apart in yucca valley. call brad.
see the guy running p30s? see everyone and their mother running either p30s or jdm itrs? there is a reason. CTRs are even a tad bit much for an 87.2mm gsr crank, but people make it work for pump gas. but...89mm crank...no.
and that head is a 92/93, its 13+ yrs old...who is to say its never been milled .020''? that make for one rad 14:1+CR 91 octane motor.
slap it together frank. see how it runs since you dismiss good information that you just dont want to hear, in favor of **** information that coincides with your "plans"

perfect. so the guy with the 12:1 motor is telling the poor kid with the 13.5:1 motor "itll be fine with tuning"
NO. stop with the misleading bullshit honda-tech info. have a great day.

and notice the 2 guys above who have good running set ups are running
1. P73(itr)
2. P30(b16a2)
2 pistons i mentioned while standing out in front of autozone ricing it up last night. p30 has a little more dome, but still streetable. im goign to use RSmachines P30s in my 2 literblock in a couple weeks.
just remember, jump on honda-tech, and within 10-12 posts someone will probably tell you what you WANT to hear, and the result will be a bucket of bolts.

so the delsol vtec and 99-00 si b16 oil pump will work.
the main reason i ask isnt nessicarily compatibility, its be cuase of the age old cliche of honda dealers not sellign acura parts. theres a honda dealer close, and the closeest acura one is 2 hrs away in temecula. so, id rather just go pick up a new 22T water pump and 96 delsol oil pump than drive 2 hrs to temecula to get the "type-r which is the KEY!"
