Default JDM ITR with p72 ecu...whats wrong?

Whats the problem with running a JDM p72(JDM GSR) ecu in a 96 JDM ITR? Less power, redline, anything? Or will it be just fine?

You'll throw a code for the secondary intake butterflies, for starters.

What are you trying to achieve by running the P72 ECU?

I just purchased civic with ITR engine and it came with a P72 ecu. Im debating whether to get a p73 or get the p72 chipped. Im trying to spend as little as possible. I just want my engine to run the way it should...I dont want any extra performance or anything. This is a daily driven car.

I figure if I put in a p73 ecu I will definitely throw a code, because I dont have an 02 sensor in the cat. However, my JDM 4-1 headers have two 02 sensors on it. Its weird. I know most JDM 4-1 headers only come with 1 sensor, but mine has two.

When I purchased the car there was an engine light on, and it was the the 02 sensor on the third exhaust port. After the fix VTEC kicks in really nice. I have one 02 sensor on the third exhaust port, and 1 at the collector. Its so weird. I cant figure out why I have two sensors.

Right now I dont have any engine light on. It runs just fine. However, it idles really bad. It fluctuates up and down when its warmed. I adjust the screw, but my idle would sit way too high. I cleaned the Idle IAV sensor and its still the same. I think the idle is because of the ECU, since GSR have secondary opening.

Anyone have any opinion please share. Thank you.

dude...did you buy your car used? If so, it sounds as if the previous owner swapped some parts out on you. Is your car a real JDM (as opposed to a converted Acura)?
