burning out off the line

ya it is. i was racing a si and i burned out forever. im new to manuals so i dont kno too much about getting off the line.
I don't condone street racing... but if you take it to a track and try, you should either 1) get better tires or 2) lower the launch rpm. The more you drive, the more you'll get the hang of it. There are other things you can do as well, but since you are a beginner with manual transmissions just stick with those 2 for now.
You said you're new to manuals. There's most of your problem. Most of it comes from practice.
Don't dump the clutch, launch around 3000-4000 rpm if you're trying to race on a track not on the street, and don't stomp the gas until the clutch is fully engaged and the tires have grabbed. It's just a matter of coordination.
