done with swap

Default done with swap

hello. well earlier in the forums i was asking about engine swap. now im done with a swap for my 98 civic coupe. the engine i have now is a prelude si motor. after my friends helped me with the swap when we started it up it has this weird clicking sound and it idles funny. can anyone help me with it? thanks

What is the frequency of the clicking based on, Engine rpm or vehicle speed? Also does the loudness of the click change with engine load?

It could be a number of things, but my first guess would be a small exhaust leak.

****.. well there isnt a clicking sound anymore but instead its like a humming sound and the rpm idle is weird. unstable and jsut went to drive aorund the block the car just died on us. but it did start back up.

well tried starting it again and after a few times the car shot out flamse form the exhaust and now it wont start. we hear it clicking like it once to start but iim not sure why it wont start. im not sure if its the timing or what.
