92 stock Civic VX tranny question-bearings
I had a bearing on the main shaft in the tranny replaced 20K ago. It sounds like the same bearing is starting to go again. Any VX owners tear into their tranny to replace bearings (either the needle or ball bearings)? I could go ahead and replace them all, but I'd like to avoid the expense if there is one, particular bearing that commonly fails (besides that main).
Is there anything else I should check while I've got the case cracked open? I don't need to swap any gears. That would lead to other performance upgrades that I can't afford. The odo is up to 203K.
My wallet and I thank you!

if the bearing is going out again after only 20k miles, something is wrong. Either the shop installed it wrong, or they used the wrong bearing.
with the vx's long gearing and low rpms the transmissions should last longer.
you could replace your vx 3rd gear with like an ex 3rd gear, that would make the car less "sluggish" after the 2-3 shift, while still maintaining the low cruise rpms... but that's just a suggestion from a hybrid transmission builder.

usually if there is any bearing noises heard its most likely the input shaft and
counter shaft bearing. pretty simple to install.
