Default Carsound Cat short???

Tried installing a carsound cat with my JDM 4-1 header and it's coming up short 2 - 3" or so from the rear exhaust connector. What part # is the one you guys have on your ITR's??

Ther is no factory "direct" bolt in replacement, you need to have the flanges welded on to make it work.

Did you get the "bolt-on" kind? Where did you get it at? It should fit without a problem...

[edit] it should fit w/o a problem if you got a "bolt-on" carsound cat. [/edit]

If you did get the carsound bolt-on application, which model did you buy? (ie: 54006/94006)

Depending on whether you're running a JDM length exhaust, that's probably your problem right there. The 54006 is the shorter cat, while the 94006 is longer.

Are you sure it's the 94006 and not the 94066? It would be difficult to build either of these cats to be 2-3" short with the stock B pipe.

I have the 54006 and it fits fine. I thought the 94006 is a little to long and must be adjusted.

Where did it come from? Dave's cat. fit flawlessly on my car, and I've never heard any complaints about Mike's either.

It'll sound funny, but is that the OEM JDM 4-1 header?

I have to check mine when I get home, but I was told the 97 & 98 ITR's are in different lengths than the 00 & 01 ITR's

2-3" is a huge differance. to pull the catback back towards the cat, there's a big chance your exhaust will no longer fit your car. Where did you get it from call them back...pritty sure they will get you the right one.

I'm thinkin I might be able to get some longer bolts and springs to try and stretch it to the collector. If that doesn't work....hmmm??

All ITR and RS/LS/GS header/cat/exhaust systems are the same.
The GSR was different in 1994-99, then changed to the same as above
for either 00 or 01.
