How to safely remove reservoir from ABS Modulator?
Hi there,
I am a new 1996 Honda Accord owner, I bught the car knowing it has a ABS modulator leakage that the previous owner says is common with models from the Ohio plant.
I have just read the FAQ on fixing ABS problems, and am wondering if anyone knows how to safely remove the reservoir from the ABS modulator to be able to re-torque those 4 plugs? All I've read so far is to be careful not to damage the O-rings...
And also, can anyone verify the numbers for tightening the nuts/bolts for the Modulator?
I have:
8mm nut: 21 N.m(15 lbf.ft)
flare nuts: 19 N.m(14 lbf.ft)
8mm bolts: ?
I got these numbers from the 1994 Honda Accord Service Manual, but wanted to make sure it is the same for 1996 models.
Thanks in advance.
