i bought the type r console with the cup holders with no tray, i couldnt get it to fit in correctly, is it possible? or will it only fit with the rhd conversion? i saw one picture of it, but it wasnt clear enough to see how it was done. if anyone could help me i would appreciate it, thanks

 

there will be a gap where the console meets the dash. u have to live w/it or go back to ur old one. ill take a pix and post it late this week.

 

This was from my DC5, and this gap is normal with our LHD cars.

 

why not get it from Europe ???

Because those DC5s in Europe were imported, not sold in a domestic market.

 

no european integra thats right forgot about that....so theres no LHD ITR???

 

i think hes talking about the front panels that you have to swap out from your stock console..the two front most panels on ur stock console that actually go on the dash, take those off and swap them with the ones on the ITR console...you'll notice a huge difference...

 

we figured this out on my friends type s, so we simply switched the boot to his stock console, and said heck with the jdm one

 

haha thats exactly what i did, i took the boot off and put it on my stick console, so i paid 70 bucs for a shift boot, thanks for the help guys, i see that there is gonna be a gap, and im sure i can get over it, but where the hell do i find an e brake console, cuz i cant find them anywhere... cuz it doesnt look right with the stock one, anyone sellin one? or know where i can find it

 

all of our problems would be solved if the people overseas would start wanting to make their ITR's like our RSX-S's... too bad

thats what i was thinking of doing to my type s....do u know if the dc2 type r boot will work since its the same boot i think because its alot cheaper to buy that than to buy the entire dc5R console just to take out the boot.

I'm not understanding the point of this upgrade. You get a red-stitched shift boot, an inferior cupholder and a gap in the dash? All of this just because they are JDM ITR parts?

Maybe I'm too old school, though.

 

i agree with u man there are people doin full interior swaps.

 

yeah back to the subject at hand.... does anyone have or know where i can get the e brake console, im tryin to get it like asap
