Default Squeaky Belts...

Car: 00 Honda Accord Coupe EX V6 112k miles
Ok well I bought this car used at 109,5xx miles
I have the egr kit put on at 111k
My belts are squeaky (can definatly hear the sqeaking speed up or slow down based on how much i depres the gas pedal), it started out only when the car just started and then after the car had been driving for a mile it went away.
Latley though it has been going on for quite awhile and only going away after long trips.
I bought this car from a resaler, and he bought it from the honda dealership after the car's life as a corperate lease (discovered this on carfax.com before i bought it)
Now was curios to know weather I need to get my belts changed or checked.
Or is there something i can do myself in order to fix it?
There were no matence record for the car when i got it.

Thanks

Sounds like it's time for new belts.

check how much it flex, there's a spec you can look it up for every belt.

If they havnt been replaced, Then you need new belts, but you could also try tightening them

theres a tensioner near the alternator, and theres another down further

sounds like wut i have, my car i got for about 162000 miles on it ( 97 accord) even though i changed the belts it still makes that squeak u speak of, it does it every morning if i dont let the car warm up enough,
if the car was properly heated/ warmed up enough, i left without any noises
if anything u needa just tighten the belt

Honestly, If you've got a belt with over 100k on it... be smart about it, and change it. It's safer, and will have to be done sooner or later. If it still squeeks with the proper tension, then you can go about doing the other things.

just wanted to make sure, I think the dealership should of handled it, but there is always that chance that they did not do a thing about it. Was wondering if it was standard operation for corprate lease cars to have all of the proper matenence done because the dealer wants it done.
