Default MPFI manifold matches

I am ready to do the conversion on my d15b dpfi

I am not asking how(I read the faq )

I have gone to a junkyard that has many civics from 88-95
alas, they crushed their only crx days b4 my arival.
I did not check for teg mannies yet

will any mpfi manny outside of 88-91 work on my d15?

D16Z6 or Y8 manifolds work. so do mpfi D15 manifolds, but i wouldn't bother with those.

Any SOHC MPFI D-series intake manifold will work with your motor. The D16Y8 would be the number one choice if you can find it.

if you mean DOHC ZC, no. neither the D16A1 or DOHC ZC will work. the ports and studs are placed differently.

any SOHC manifold will work, as Redline130 said.

Thank you for the clarification

I assume the acceptable ones include the D's from early tegs?

Since I am not planning to put vtec on the block, does the dizzy+manny from the Y8 require any conversion different from a non-vtec dizzy+manny(or is all that ONLY if you swap the head too)?

also to be sure
The D17A1(2) will also work?

Nope, the D17 manifold (7th gen 2001+ civic) will not work.

You will be best off using a D16Z6 or D16Y8 manifold & throttle body and converting to OBD-1 with P28 / P06 ECU.

I'm using a Z6 mani & P06 ecu on my D15B1 with a D16A6 Si cam and happy with the results.

I will get the recommended items when I find them.
2 questions now:

1.a and 1.b)
These engines are vtec are they not? Will this require more mod than a mpfi swap from a non-vtec?

2)The cam you grabbed, is it a big difference on a D15B?

not really. there's a hell of a lot of interchangeability.

my MPFI swap is a scary mish-mash of parts - the manifold and fuel rail is from a D16Z6, the dizzy is from a SOHC ZC, the ecu is a PM6, the resistor box is from an HF CRX, and the injectors/fuel inlet hose/fuel regulator are all off of a 1989 Integra.

you won't be using any of the VTEC hardware, as that's all in and on the head itself. the only thing that will be "more mod" than a swap from a non-VTEC will be if you do go OBD-1. and that's not really a big deal - just some wiring differences and no resistor box, really.

just make sure that you match your dizzy, ecu and injectors to whatever level of OBD you are going to be running.
