m22x, bc 4 and jun 3????? on my eudm itr
Hello i'm newbie here. I search a long time for know what will be better cams for my car, but i don't always found same result.
My car is running with a jdm header, test pipe, 12:1 RV and competch ice box.
A friend say me: The m22x will be better than jun 3 in all powerband.
Is it true?
And BC 4 has got a better powerband with the same top power than m22x????
Thanks a lot....

i dont doubt the m22X's but is there any dyno sheets to prove that they beat jun 3's?

Yes i agree with you. It's the reason why I'm asking which is the best cam...

The BC4 and the Jun3 have the same identical vtec lobe, but the BC4 has larger primaries. It might make more midrange than the Jun3, and will also idle rougher. The M22x is a bit larger than both of the cams mentioned above and has a near-stock idle. I don't have any dyno sheets of the M22x vs the Jun3's, we kinda shy away from "comparrisons" because so many different cams work better in different motors. If one cam won on a dyno, everyone would lable it as "the best cam," just like what happened with the header test. Rocket makes great power in great engines, the Jun3 is a proven cam profile time and time again, but it is very possible that the M22 would make you more power.

Thanks clean rice. So bc 4 will have the best midrange, and the same top end power as the jun 3.
And the m22X the same midrange as the jun but more horse power at high rpm...
Is it ok???

the cam man comes through again. the jun3 is an expensive set of cams, but im saving my pennies becuase i dont want to say "i was gonna get those cams but i got these that are almost as good for my set up"
you guys know about this skunk2 deal, with them trying to flood the market? 375 toward their stuff for your cams? thats valvesprings, retainers and probably a shift **** to run with someone elses cams again

and to help ya out a littlle bit ti pat, given the choice between the jun3 and bc4, i would an AM choosing the jun3 becuase of the SMALLER primary lobe due to the highway driving i do from time to time. if im not mistaken they have oem "R" primaries. this may sacrifice a little in the midrange but to me, it makes for a better cruising car below vtec.

Yes you are correct, well, within theory yes. Assuming the motor will be able to take advantage of the larger primaries with the BC4 then it should have the better midrange and the same top end as the Jun3. The M22x will peak higher than either cam, or you could give the xx version of the M22 a try and get some more midrange, having a similar idle as the BC4. We've had good luck with the M22's in ITR motors, and like Deftones(awesome band btw) said, the Jun3's have type r-like primaries.....so freeway driving would be extremely easy on your VT. The M22x primaries are a bit larger than type r, but not by much.

i just scored a b20 short block for a buck fifty. my original plans were 82x89 jun3s and headwork and steves ITBs but, now, its 2 liter and everythign ele remains. just means the motor will like VTEC 400rpms earlier i suppose.
