Default Dunlop FM 901, Have questions...

I have 2 in 205/45/16 (in the rear) and need to buy 2 more to replace the worn Nitto Tires in the front. Problem is I cannot find these tires in the size I need. I did find them in 195/50/16. Will the rolling diameter be close?

I will also take recommendations for other tires that look similar. This is for my weekend car. Possible Auto-X.

Gee, those old FM901's are such a crappy tire. I understand you wanting to use the same tire, so you don't have mismatched tires which could affect your handling, but still... the idea of looking for some other crappy tire whose characteristics will be similar is unappealing. So is the idea of getting another two FM901, which means you will continue to be stuck with the FM901 (including two in the wrong size).

If it were my car, I would do one of two things:

1. Buy four Kumho Ecsta SPT in 205/45-16 for $67 each, mail in for the $40 rebate, and try to sell the two used FM901's on eBay.

2. Buy two Kumho Ecsta SPT in 205/45-16, put them on the front, and see how the handling goes with the crappy FM901's in the rear. If you don't like the handling, you can always buy another two of the SPT's. You can probably still get the rebate as long as you mail in for it within 30 days of both purchases.

No, no, no!

The link you provide is to the Kumho Ecsta Supra 712, which is CRAP.

The tire which is excellent and worth buying is the Kumho Ecsta SPT. The link to the SPT on the Tire Rack site is http://www.tirerack.com/tires/...A+SPT.
