15x7.5 38+ on ek hatch?
No. The 15" tire sizes for your car - 195/55-15 or 205/50-15 - are usually NOT approved for mounting on a 15x7.5 wheel. Stick with 15x6 or 15x6.5 and you'll be fine.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but isn't that what tire stretch is all about? (serious question) It might not be what is recommended, but since when do people people on honda-tech read or follow directions

that size tire is for a 15x6 to 15x7 wheel.......stretch look is for vw boys....
problem with tha look is that you are expossing the wheel to curb issues and premature wear on the tire..........

Depending on which tire you plan on using, 7.5 may work fine. Its very common for autox'ers to put Azenis on a 7.5" wheel with great results so I'm sure others may work also.

I am honestly not trying to be a jerk, but why would you say something like that, then not express to him what size you "think" he needs? You could say "what look are you going for?" "Do you just like the wheels?" or just give a suggestion. Why didn't you just end your phrase with "You Suck!"

This is for the person who asked about 15x7s. Just like everyone says, They fit fine as long as you don't try to put 225/50/15s on em. Then you have to roll, shave, and flare the front fenders. Here's a pic of them before any fender mods. http://members.aol.com/vtec2001civic/225.jpg

Ya, sure, you can fit them in there. The problem is that is is the wrong size tire for that car. The correct 15" tire for that car is not meant to go on a 15X7. Ken's post (the second one) explained it perfectly.
If you have the wrong size tire on you can run into rubbing issues, the speedo will be way off, the acceleration will also suffer. There is no advantage to running a rim that wide on that car.

I'm pretty sure I said don't try to run 225 tires. And as for my car. With the swap I have, it's the correct size.

Did you mean 15x7.5? because the tire sizes he quoted would work fine on a 15x7 wheel.

These two statements have no right to follow one another. First sentence is slightly true. 1st -Tire rub is bad -true- 2nd speedo will be way off-false- That would depend on what tire you are running. If you know how tire sizes work, then selecting the right tire will not make your speedo be off. 3rd-acceleration will suffer -not totally true- that's one of those it could go either way things depending on what tire size you choose.

Are you still talking about 15x7 or 15x7.5?
If you're talking about 15x7, then there's also no disadvantage to running them.
If you're takling about 15x7.5 the only advantage would be being able to run a wider slick, which he's not.
