Default Car died on me this morning, what's the issue???

96 Accord EX(Canadian Model) 2.2 Non-Vtec automatic

didn't warm the car up this morning, drove out of the house, car acts weird with the rpm needles going up and down with consistant push in the gas pedal.......fast forward abit...............all the a sudden the RPM drops to 0 and there's no power at all even when i push the pedal all the way, car stalls........tried to restart it, works fine, push gas pedal, stall again, did this like 10 times

at the end, i hold the rpm at like 4-5000, and finally drive the car back home, anyone know what the issue is???

distributor??? cap/rotor? wires? i just changed the spark plugs 2 days ago.......

Thanks in advance

My moms 96 accord with the v6 did the same thing and it turned out to be the fuel pump.We hooked up a fuel pressure guage on the fuel filter Banjo bolt, and set the guage under the winshield wiper.Shut the hood and drive around. When it stalls look at the guage and I bet it is loosing fuel pressure.

thanks for the info.........appreciated

went to the Mechanic and go through everything, seems fine

but he did mention the fuel pump issues which can be a failure
