Well, I found a CW 98 r with 45k on the odeometer for 8k. A buddy of mine knows a guy that wants a prelude and would give me between 5 and 6k for my lude. The r was rear ended and needs a new back bumper, the guy said he used it as a daily driver so its needs some new things like new left upper ball joint, and left outer tie rod and a new clutch master cylinder. The R has been my dream car for quite sometime. Problem is i live in california, and im very worried about it getting stolen I live in redding to be exact, its a mid size town, not like the big cities like l.a. so car thiefs aren't that bad around here, but as of late there has been more. My buddy owns an import shop and someone tried to steal and ls from his shop, it was left over night, but was in the back surrounded by a fence. I don't have a garage to park the R in, can put it behind a gated fence though. So what do u guys think, should i jump on this R cause its just so cheap, even though it could get stolen?

seems like a good price according to what you've stated, but if you don't have a safe place to park it (then again, nowhere is too safe to park the R), especially if you don't have another car as a daily driver, i don't recommend buying it. it's not a good feeling to be paranoid all the time. if you do decide to risk it and get the R, please make sure you are fully insured and have good security system. also, using common sense when and where you park you R go a long way. good luck on your decision.
