82mm Pistons safe for GSR block?
Building a GSR motor and thinking about trying out some of those RS machine 82mm CTR pistons. I will be running a ITR head milled .030". Using RM cams havent decided from M22 or M24.
But my main concern is that the sleeves will be able to hadle 9000 RPM's at 82mm bore.

82mm should be fine. Don't quote me on that, as there are more knowledgable folks in here.
But from your specs, do you know how high the c/r will be? 13xx:1 if I'm not mistaken. Is this a DD?

I see no problem with the 82mm bore but the piston choice is a poor one. The high dome does not allow good burnand your compression ratio is going to be in the 14.4:1 area. Stock sleeves its good to keep under 12.5:1. Change to .025"milling the usdm ITR pistons and for 11.8:1 c/r or the pr3's for 12.1:1 c/r
At 82mm you'll be fine.....as long as you have a decent tune. .5mm off either side isnt much. Take it to 84mm and "your sleeves are getting pretty thin."
