Hey guys, I was just wondering if there are any decks out there that control your ipod and show the names and folders and stuff just so I can tuck it away in the glovebox, so if anyone knows of any, ley me know.
Just about every manufacturer has HUs that will control and display your iPod info, Alpine... http://www.alpine-usa.com/en/p...AV_HU
Pioneer... http://www.pioneerelectronics.....html
Eclipse... http://www.eclipse-web.com/cd-index.html
Sony... http://sm.crutchfield.com/S-1p...avf=Y
The list goes on, what kind of budget, and other then iPod interface, what else do you want out of the HU, what will your system consist of, [or maybe, consist of later, as you can afford it]?

Those units will control and charge the iPod, some need a "black box" and cables others only need a cable, like the Alpine CDA-9856... http://www.alpine-usa.com/en/p...-9856 "Made for iPod" and "Full Speed" it will control and charge your iPod and all that is needed is a cable Alpine KCE-422i.

I have the 9856 with the full-speed cable. It works great and is extremely easy to navigate through the ipod. I highly recommend it especially since the cable will cost you around 25 bucks.

Would be nice to see, I'm thinking of getting the 9857 or 9856.

i have some pics, where my ipod is in the glove box(i know thieves check there, its just out of sight so i know its better)
if you want a deck that controls an ipod like the spin wheel look into a pioneer deh-p6800 or premier deh-p680. It shows you all of the folders in a list just like the I-pod. Its the easiest i-pod interface that I have found. (although I was messing with a jensen and it was nice, but product quality is crap.)
