Time to check your speedometer
Just a reminder... your speedometer is most likely off. The next time you are on the interstate, put the cruise on and time how many seconds it takes you to go a mile (use the green mileage markers, they are accurate) - use a stopwatch. Or, even better, time how long it takes you to go 5 or 10 miles in light traffic with the cruise control on.
Figure out the average number of seconds it took you to go each mile and divide that number into 3600. That's your actual speed in miles per hour.
I have a '99 LX, I4. Mine consistently reads 4 mph more than my actual speed at interstate speed so when it says I'm going 80 mph I'm actually going 76. When it says 75, I'm going 71 etc. I assume that it's off at lower speeds but it's not like I can drive 30 mph on the interstate to check it.
A friend of mine also has a '99, his was also reading high by even a little more. He was told by Honda that the speedometer was not adjustable and that anything within 5% of the actual speed "is within tolerance".
Anyway, you won't be able to adjust it but it's still kind of important to know what your actual speed is. Check it sometime.

Honda's are notorious for this.
And I could just check my speed with one of these faster than I could read your post...
