I'm sure everyone can relate to this, but this was ridiculous:

I'm just left school and went to pick up some food and then was on my way home. On the way home there is a busy road that EVERYONE cuts into (They drive into the right lane as far as they can so they don't have to wait). This irritates me because I have to wait and everyone should have equal privilages. Anyways....basically I'm not going to let anyone merge in front of me when I've been waiting for a minute or two. I'm at the merge and I see this young woman in a newer black Tacoma cruising in the merge lane and I'm just traveling at a constant speed. Well she decides of course to cut in front of me so I stepped on the gas a bit and I see her slam on her brakes and she is literraly less than 6-9" inches away from my car on the right. I had to slam on my brakes as well as my horn and I just looked at her in the face; puzzled to hell. She acted like I was in the wrong. So she decides to floor it again and at this point I'm mad (I should've just let her go ahead), but I decided to accelerate again and she finally ended up getting behind me after being halfway off of the road. I know of course that this problem could've elminated easily if I would've let her merge into MY lane, but some people are just impatient it sickens me.

Cliff Notes: Dumb lady decides that she has the right off way (she didn't) and flirts with a car accident and after losing the merging "battle" she still thinks that she was in the right. Impatient People that don't have respect for other peoples property and obviously their own suck!

 

Where do you usually merge the busy street - at the end of the line, or in the beginning?

 

I won't let people in unless they have their turn signal on. And then it's only one person. I try to be fair, but I hate when people cut me off...

 

Texas is really bad for people that think it is their God given right to change lanes whenever and wherever they please. Everything be damned, if they have their blinker on they are coming over, and if you don't let them it is your fault...

I hate it!

 

use your turn signal, dont be a dick on the road and i will let you in. im not in a hurry to get into an accident

 

Yep, as long as you're not driving like a ****** I got no problem letting in a car or two.

Pet Peeve: Semi's on the highway who you are about to pass and at the last minute move over into your lane to start the 5 minute passing process on another semi. There is no one behind you, and they can't wait for you to get by instead they must hold you up.

Yup, TX is horrible for this.

If they're not being jerks about it I'll let one car in, but anyone who tries to force me to let them in by swerving into the side of my car (intimidation) gets a nasty surprise when I start turning towards them.

This never used to happen when I was driving my Cougar with half the paint peeling off of it. No one messed with me like that, but since I got a nice looking shiny car everyone thinks they can force me to let them in by getting in close to my door panels.

 

I've heard that in Japan there are very strict driving courses you need to pass. Possibly like the MSF course for Motorcycles in the US. ANYONE can get a damned license here and it sickens me. I know it won't change, but wouldn't it be nice if we didn't have to worry about the people driving next to us. I've also become a VERY VERY defensive driver over the past few months and I realize how stupid many of the drivers on the road are. But I can see why the suck when they are driving 14-ton SUV's and Trucks. (I think I'm done venting...for today)
