i am thinking about buying some coilovers but i heard that you need to cut the base were the stock spring sit to get it lower is that true any help thanks

coilovers are a complete swap of the stock strut..take stock strut out put the coilovers in...well thats for Full coilovers like Tein Basics, Tein SS-P's, Buddy Club, Megan Coilovers, and etc...

 

cuz one of my friends got some but they dont go down all the way because the base stops the adjuster and theres alot more to lower

those aren't full coilovers, they are called sleeves. do not get sleeves, you will regret it. they may give you a nice drop but they are bouncy as hell and are not worth it.
