What Is detonation? I've Searched and cant find....help!!??
I want to know what detoantion is? Can anyone put it into english for me or give me a link to a good easy to understand page about detonation?

Detonation is exploding something.
Pre detonation is exploding it earlier than it is suppose to.
Now the cause can vary, Running lean and hot, the cylinder fires on it's own.
Can also be caused by a sharp corner or even a chunk of carbon staying hot and causing the early detonation.
There is more, but this is just to give you a idea of what is happening.
