Default Need help with headlight wiring in 99SI

my friend and i installed an apc high power harness kit with wires tonite, the reason being that the old bulbs burnt out the harnesses and need some support with the power. anyways, everything is in fine, BUT only my highbeams work now. we couldnt use the harness to wire it up so we spliced the wires instead of just plugging in the harness to the harness on the kit. we though we switched 2 wires and it still has the same deal after trying. SO we THINK that the wires melted together somewhere down the line. i was thinking of running extra wire to the other side of the car to the other headlamp harness that was in better condition. does anyone know what color does what of those 3 wires? i know which one is power, duh.... has anyone else had this problem? we had a meter so we know the aftermarket parts are all correct. im just tryin to avoid unwrapping all the wires cuz that will be a pain in the butt. any input or pictures will be greatly appreciated. i might go as far to assume that all 96-00 coupes would be the same in that regard. Thanks guys!

Make sure you bulbs are ok. You may have blown the low beam filament out.
