It was a sad sight to see. When we left there was no official word on her condition. Only people talking ****. But to be honest it did not look good.
There was a serious cross wind and from what I can tell she got a little out of shape after the grand stands. I could not tell if a chute come out. Very sad.
Just before the live feed was killed, teh announcer came on and said that racing for the rest of the day would be cancelled, and please respect the family & racing team and don't spread around any rumors as to what happened.
The crash itself looked pretty nasty, and there was a fairly large fireball
anyone have any more info...
Thoughts and prayers to her and her family/friends </TD></TR></TABLE>

Is it just me or did anyone else find this a little tasteless? I mean the dearly departed is standing there smiling next to her car with the caption "DEATH AT 480 KM/H" Then you have a car ad, 7-11 ad, and a lotto ad surrounding that. I guess you gotta sell papers but c'mon. Just shows how dangerous racing can be. Sorry for the loss to her family.
May she rest in peace.
I think the local news channels got this all wrong, and all were very tasteless in their coverage.
I don't think they made it aware to the public that this is a normal speed and that it is dear loss and misfortune that this happened.
How often does someone die drag racing at a sanctioned event? Rarely...
