Default my hood is raised..should I worry abour rain/water?

I have risers in my hood where it meets the windshield its raised about half inch or more. Should I worry about the rain and take the risers out?

The water will drain into the cowl area which has little drains in itself that go under the car. I had mine like that for a while and had no problems...

It makes sense because they have a huge air filter only inches away from the cowl. They use it to provide air to the engine....if you want to lower engine temps it won't do much. I had my hood raised in the back and when I put it back to stock I had no temperature change (Defi temp gauge). Just FYI
